Depending on who in the family is counting, there are 13, maybe 14 members of the Velasquez family living under one roof in downtown Los Angeles. This slice of life portrait, shown through the eyes of the children, was shot in a single, winter afternoon. It shows an American childhood that is both wholly unique and entirely relatable.
