Momma Jean’s

We headed to Lampasas, TX to grab a bite and sit with Johnny Walker, pit-master and owner of Momma Jean’s BBQ. We were immediately blown away by this magnetic, gregarious dude with endless stories. Johnny grew up in South Dallas in the 60’s, and has been around Texas BBQ long enough to have developed some real insights. Johnny discussed ideas big and small, and we came away with a deeper, more nuanced perspective of Texas BBQ and its history. But what about the ‘cue? Yeah. It’s real good.
